DEI Assessment Tools

The starting point for working together is for us to better understand how equality is being practised within your organisation.

Through our Leadership Equality Index™ and Culture Equality Index™, we measure employees’ experiences of inequality when it comes to policies, processes, practices and personal beliefs.

This provides a baseline of your inclusive workplace culture, which helps to establish the business case for why change is needed.

Using our theory of change and assessment methodology we can create bespoke reporting tools for business, to measure their inclusive culture and leadership practices. These tools will provide annual benchmarking and reporting for companies to track performance and evaluate progress against the DEI strategy.

Our Equality and Equity Fit audit tool measures four key areas that underpin the advancement of cultures of equality and equity. These include policies, processes, practices and personal beliefs that individuals hold about what good looks like. Companies can take the fitness assessment annually to track, measure and report on the advancement of DEI within their organisation.

Currently most leadership inclusion assessment tools measure general leadership competencies like collaboration or curiosity. These measures do not provide an assessment of the actions leaders are taking to build cultures of equality within their teams. The LEI is the go-to diagnostic tool to assess, evaluate and continuously monitor what leaders are doing to build cultures of equality within their teams and organisations. The assessment is a data-driven, in-depth measurement tool with automated norm groups and reporting, to provide all people managers with a customised individual report with clear development suggestions and actions they need to take to advance equality within their teams.

Our Culture of Equality Index tool measures employees’ experiences of inequality when it comes to policies, processes, practices, and personal beliefs. This provides a baseline of your inclusive workplace culture, which helps to establish a business case for why cultural change is needed. In undertaking the assessment with people managers, organisations will be provided with in-depth reports detailing the 15 dimensions that make up a culture of equality across the three domains of awareness, understanding, and practice. The report details the collective strengths and development opportunities for making the workplace culture more inclusive and equitable.

Currently most inclusion assessment tools for individual contributors measure general competencies like collaboration or curiosity. These measures do not provide an assessment of the actions individuals are taking to build cultures of equality within their teams and the specific areas they need to develop to become more inclusive. The Individual Equality Index (IEI) is the go-to diagnostic tool to assess, evaluate and continuously monitor what individuals are doing to build cultures of equality within their teams and organisations. The online automated tool is based on over 10 years of academic research and provides an in-depth report and development plan for individuals.

The Family Friendly Workplace Index provides an in-depth assessment of the practices, behaviours, and norms that leaders and managers engage in (or not) to create an environment that values working parents. Based on the assessment, leaders will receive a comprehensive report that outlines the actions they need to take to develop family-friendly cultures. Leaders will then undertake an in-depth development program, which provides them with the skills, tools and resources to advance family-friendly workplace practices.

Why The Culture Practice?

We measure DEI

The starting point for working together is for us to better understand how DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) is being practised within your organisation. Through our Leadership Equality Index™ and Culture Equality Index™, we measure employees’ experiences of inequality when it comes to policies, processes, practices and personal beliefs. This provides a baseline of your inclusive workplace culture, which helps to establish the business case for why change is needed.

We have the DEI solutions that work

Once we have the baseline, our goal is to develop customised programs to address the specific needs your organisation has. Our goal is to ensure any program is owned and led by your organisation. Drawing on our substantive experience we will work with your diversity and inclusion team to customise and create the educational content to meet the needs of your employees.

We create measurement tools and programs your company can own and deliver

We create programs designed for every organisation. We partner through train-the-trainer programs to deliver these learning solutions on a global scale both in person and virtually. As part of the program development, we will create resources, toolkits, exercises, and workbooks that organisations can continually use as well as provide access to our online learning platform, which includes audio, video and written content that employees can access to continue their learning journey.

We build your DEI capability

Our aim with any initiative is to ensure sustainable change - as such, we provide train-the-trainer sessions for leaders, human resource teams and diversity and inclusion teams within your organisation. This will ensure that your subject matter experts are equipped to deliver ongoing impact.

We are your long-term partner

We provide a range of options to ensure every workplace regardless of size has access to ongoing DEI support, coaching, feedback and development. We provide leaders and human resource and diversity and inclusion teams with the inclusion coaching they need to transform their organisational culture.
